การวิเคราะห์คำสแลงที่ใช้ในภาพยนตร์เรื่อง “How to Train Your Dragon”

ภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชั่นหรือภาพยนตร์การ์ตูนได้กลายเป็นหนึ่งในสื่อที่ได้รับความนิยมสูงสุดในหมู่ผู้คนทุกเพศทุกวัย แม้ผู้ชมหลักส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นเด็ก ในบางครั้งเมื่อดูแอนิเมชั่น บทสนทนาระหว่างตัวละครในภาพยนตร์อาจทำให้ผู้ชมที่เป็นเยาวชนสับสนหรือเข้าใจผิดได้ การศึกษานี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อระบุคำสแลงที่ใช้ในแอนิเมชันเรื่อง How to Train Your Dragon (2010) เนื่องจากเป็นภาพยนตร์ที่มีบทสนทนาที่สนุกสนานและน่าสนใจสำหรับผู้ชมทุกกลุ่มที่หลากหลาย หากยังมีคำสแลงที่อาจเข้าใจยากในหมู่เยาวชน ผู้วิจัยจึงศึกษาคำสแลงที่ใช้ในบทภาพยนตร์และอธิบายความหมายในบริบทของภาพยนตร์ จัดหมวดหมู่ของคำสแลงตามตามประเภทที่กำหนดในขอบเขตการวิจัย และคำนวณหาค่าสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่และร้อยละ ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือบทภาพยนตร์ซึ่งอยู่ในรูปแบบของไฟล์ PDF ที่ได้มาจากเว็ปไซต์ Netflix และคำจำกัดความของคำสแลงจากเว็บไซต์พจนานุกรมออนไลน์ต่าง ๆ ผลการวิจัยพบว่ามีคำสแลงทั้งหมด 28 คำที่ปรากฏในภาพยนตร์ แบ่งเป็น 5 ประเภท ได้แก่ ประเภทที่ใช้บ่อยที่สุด คือ Fresh and Creative รองลงมาคือ Clipping, Imitative และ Flippant ตามลำดับ ในขณะที่ไม่พบ Acronym ในบทภาพยนตร์เลย คำสแลงเหล่านี้มีประโยชน์สำหรับการแนะนำผู้ชมที่เป็นเยาวชนในการทำความเข้าใจกับภาพยนตร์ได้ดียิ่งขึ้น และยังเป็นประโยชน์สำหรับผู้เรียนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาที่สองหรือภาษาต่างประเทศที่สนใจเรียนภาษาอังกฤษผ่านสื่อภาพยนตร์อีกด้วย
