Ethics of Care and Healthcare provider in New Normal

The objective of this research was to study the opinions on the ethics of care among healthcare providers in new normal. This research uses a qualitative research method. A semi-structured interview with six key informants was conducted with content analysis and philosophical interpretation. The research finding showed that: 1) the focus things in work were service providers, all staff working in the hospital, the patients those who are admitted to hospitals that are both external and internal people, the service process is providing service that will impress and come back to use the service again, and environment were things in the hospital that emphasize to look clean, fresh, organized, and want to get the service again; 2) new normal made healthcare providers demand empathy from all parties; and 3) healthcare providers were aware of the ethics of self-care and readiness to care for their clients. They were implying that policies should be created and then followed up on and evaluated in accordance with those policies. The results can be used by hospital management to develop a service excellence policy.
