Cakkavatti Sutra and synthesis of the Thai perfection Society

Abstract

 This article aims to analyze the Cakkavatti Sutra in the Tripitaka to synthesize the Thai perfection society that the author would like to present in 2 points consisted of 1) the meaning and importance of the Cakkavatti Sutra. The importance of Cakkavatti Sutra that the Lord Buddha declared which consisted of governed society to grow or degenerate based on Cakkavatti Sutra applying in term of two big points. First is the value of achieving the highest goal in Buddhism by self-sacrifice and second is the value of governance by using the 12 principles of Cakkavatti Sutra to solve social problems at 3 levels which are the individual, family and society levels. 2) The synthesis ideal of the Thai perfection society is a way to achieve society because morality makes society stronger and human nature is difficult to constraint. Therefore, human beings must be administrated with fear of punishment. Furthermore, the society required to settle a social pattern with the sovereignty take part in controlling and punishing the person who infringed and thus the link between the Cakkavatti Sutta and the synthesis of the Thai perfection society of the present day.
