Analysis of the Drug Use According to the Buddha?s Permission and the Taste of Drugs Based on the Thai Traditional Medicine Scriptures

Abstract

The aim of this article was to study and compare the taste of drugs based on the Thai tradition medicine scriptures with the taste of drugs based on the medical studies scripture, which explains the 10 flavors of medicine. These 10 flavors were used to treat diseases by Thai traditional medicine. In summary, the Buddha?s permission of drug indicates the taste of medicine from the properties of pharmacy, because the various pharmacies mentioned are for treating the illness of the Buddhist monks and of the Buddha himself.
