Analysis of Logic in Buddhism

Abstract

The purpose of this academic paper presentation is to demonstrate the relationship of logic and Buddhism. Logic is the science of reasoning and is an important tool for explaining philosophical ideas to be reasonable are more reliable. Therefore, logic is neither knowledge nor truth. but as a tool or guide for us to know that truth. The result of the study is that without logical reasoning, it is extremely difficult for human beings to have access to both this knowledge of truth. Both Buddhism and logic are concerned with the truth that human beings should seek. Buddhism sees that life is suffering. The elimination of suffering is nirvana, that is, the attainment of the supreme truth of man. Logic is responsible for laying out a method of thinking in order to understand the truth. Buddhism does not deny that human beings don't think logically. Both noble people and ordinary people all thought logically together and the study also found that certainty and sometimes experience are also used as a basis for thinking. Because both types of thinking are natural or normal for all human beings, therefore, both Buddhism and logic are closely related.
